Energy Guardian will give you a breakdown of where and when your site is using energy, looking at heating, ventilation and lighting systems, plus specialist equipment and individual sockets.

Energy Data Collection

Our smart meters collect real-time power usage information, and relay this data wirelessly to our Energy Manager analysis software. You can view your energy data online at any time and also use Energy Manager to control the on/off switching of certain equipment.

Reporting

Our energy consultants will access your data remotely, to summarise and interpret the findings for you in regular reports and identify the steps you can take to become more energy efficient. On an ongoing basis, your reports will show where you are making progress towards energy-saving targets and where you could make further improvements: cost-effective ways to lower your energy bills.

A Complete Service

There is no need for you to set aside hours of staff time to deal with your site's energy management issues - we will do this work for you and put you in control of your energy. The Energy Manager software can be used to generate a range PDF reports, at the touch of the button, and can also help you to fulfil the reporting requirements of the CRC Energy Efficiency scheme.

Energy Guardian is a scalable, fully-installed service, suitable for a wide range of companies and the public sector. We make it easy for you to become a greener organisation and to start saving money right away. Our energy consultants will give you regular reports and full support so that together we can identify where your organisation is wasting energy and make simple, quick changes to cut your energy bills significantly.

Energy Analysis, focussing on where your organisation can make savings:

  • Clear and accurate view of your electricity consumption in monthly reports
  • Keep track of the energy used by different individuals or departments, or types of equipment
  • Highlight areas of energy wastage

The Energy Guardian service is based around eight modules. We will define an area of your site (e.g. a building, wing or floor, depending on the size and structure of your organisation) for analysis and focus on the following:

In addition to the reports from our Energy Consultants, you can access your energy data at any time via our online reporting system, Enistic Energy Manager Online:

  • Easy-to-read dashboard gives an overview of your energy usage, costs and CO2 emissions - all in real time
  • Access current and historical energy data for any area your system is monitoring - from a device or employee workstation, to a department or building
  • Compare the energy efficiency of particular equipment or areas of your site over a period of time
  • Select the data that interests you and create customised PDF reports at the touch of a button.

Energy Alert Service

  • Choose to receive alerts by email or text message if selected devices are left on outside the normal hours of operation
  • Sign up for the managers' email update, for a quick, regular overview of your organisation's performance.

Smart Building Service

Our Energy Consultants will recommend simple steps that you can take to improve your site's energy efficiency, such as:

  • Automate the switching off of some equipment - for example, outside normal working hours, so that devices cannot accidentally be left on
  • Installation of the Enistic Desktop Solution (download our information sheet) on PCs - this ensures that computers are automatically powered-down when not in use, together with any associated peripherals, such as monitors, printers, speakers.

Full Installation

We will arrange a convenient time to come and install all the equipment you need, without disruption, working with your site electrician.

  • Includes full assessment of your electrical equipment, including the lighting and air conditioning, so that we can perform benchmarking studies for you and identify where improvements can be made
  • Groups and categories can be set up and named according to your preferences - e.g. so you can see at a glance how your energy is being used by different floors or by types of equipment such as the printers
  • We configure network access and data feeds for you, so that you can access our easy-to-use reporting system from your PC as soon as the installation is complete.

The Energy Guardian service includes:

Full Installation of up to 50, 100 or 250 metering points (depending on your chosen level of Energy Guardian), including:

  • Incoming Smart Metering module
  • Lighting module
  • Air-conditioning/heating module
  • Spare metering points not needed for the above may be used for general monitoring.

5-way Smart Strips for general office use (e.g. with PCs, printers, etc) - either 2, 5 or 10 depending on whether you order Energy Guardian 50, 100 or 250.

12 months remote energy monitoring and monthly energy analysis reports.

Set-up and remote management of our:

  • Behavourial change module
  • Energy alerting service
  • Smart building service.

Telephone support.

Full license for Energy Manager Pro desktop software, for use with the hardware installed.

All installed equipment belongs to you, so you can continue to use it after the twelve-month period using Energy Manager Pro (supplied). You can also optionally extend your full Energy Guardian service for an annual charge.

The Enistic Energy Guardian service is fully warranted for a 12 month period.

IBM chose to conduct a project over the course of 3 and a half months to evaluate how effectively a technology solution could increase staff engagement with energy saving policies, and reduce energy consumption in the workplace. One office, consisting of 45 desks and a workgroup printer, was selected for the project, which was based around enistic 5-way Smart Sockets and the Energy Manager system. In line with their 10:10 commitment (the campaign to reduce UK emissions by 10% in 2010), Interior Control Ltd wanted a cost-effective way to measure their energy footprint and a system that would control and reduce that energy automatically. The Interior Control office in Peterborough comprises three workstations with three desktop computers and a laptop. All of the PCs are left running 24/7 as they are required for remote dial-in. Smart Office Energy Solutions

In January 2010, one of our American distributors, Smart Office Energy Solutions, was asked to launch an energy reduction initiative for a prominent office building in downtown Houston. The Lyric Centre is a skyscraper with 390,000 square feet of A Class space, mostly divided into offices and conference rooms. Before the deployment of the enistic Smart Office Energy Solution, both building management and tenants had little understanding or awareness of their energy use.
