A guide to how to interface with the Enistic smart metering systems.
We provide several ways to interface into our systems. A summary of these systems is shown below.
Enistic Controller API This is a low level UDP based interface into our Smart Energy Controllers. It allows meter readings to be accessed and provides control over all of our switchable smart sockets. |

Enistic Data API This is an XML based interface into our online data center. It allows your application to query meter readings over the internet in a comprehensive yet flexible manner. |

Enistic Graphing API This HTML based API allows you to embed real-time graphs generated by our online systems into your own web pages. |

Downloading to Excel / CSV Both our desktop and server based solutions provide complete functionality for simple one-click downloading of information into CSV format so you can use Excel or other spreadsheet/database tools to analyse and report on the data. Many customers use Crystal reports to generate custom reports. Websphere As IBM business partners we have access to third party tools that provide Webshpere interface capability. |

SNMP Whilst we do not provide any SNMP functionality to our systems we have been asked once or twice and are considering implementing these functions. If you would like SNMP functions, please register your interest with us so we can gauge the level of market demand and help make the business case for developing this interface. |

Third party tools Some of our partners have developed tools that interface into our systems to allow further display, analysis and reporting from our metering systems. |

MOP switch The MOP (meter operator) switch allows you to have live readings redirected to your server for processing rather than using Energy Manager Online. |
